PANAMANIAN SHIP REGISTRATION

AMCSC has full support from Consulate General of Panama in regards to process Ship Registration Certificate and Radio License.

 

 

 

I. VESSEL REGISTRATION

The registration consists of two stages: Provisional and Permanent. 

 

I.1. Client must provide AMCSC the following docs to obtain the Provisional Ship Registration Certificate and Radio License:

1. Form A (contact us to get this form)

2. Memorandum of Agreement

3. Valid copies of the Document of Compliance (DOC) and Safety Management Certificate (SMC).
* Continuous Synopsis Record (CSR).
* International Ship Security Certificate(ISSC)

4. Power of Attorney

 

The Provisional Ship Registration Certificate and Radio License will be issued within 24 working hours if the above documents completed as well as the first annual tax was paid. These temporary certificates are valid for 6 months.

I.2. Permanent Certification will be issued if the following documents are submitted:

1. Original Bill of Sale and Acceptance of Sale in favor of current owners, duly notarized and authenticated by the Panamanian Consulate.

2. Original Power of Attorney in our favor, duly notarized and authenticated by the Panamanian Consulate.

3. Copies of DOC, SMC, ISSC, CSR under the new owner name

4. Report of LRIT, Immarsat C active report.

⇒ Those permanents will be valid for 5 years.

II. REGISTRATION FEES

 

 

1. INITIAL REGISTRATION FEES (Minimum $500.00 – Max. $6,500.00)

 

 

Up to 2,000 GRT	$500.00
2,000 to 5,000 GRT	$2,000.00
5,001 to 15,000 GRT	$3,000.00
15,000 GRT and up	$3,000.00 + 0.10 per each GRT over 15,000

   YACHTS pay a single fee of US$ 1,500.00 for 2 years
   (US$ 1,000.00 if owned by a Panamanian corporation)

 

SHORT TERM REGISTRATION

    (Three-month validity, for special purposes) 0.40/NRT (minimum $300.00)

2. ANNUAL PAYMENTS

    ANNUAL TONNAGE TAX (Impuesto Anual) : $0.10 per NRT
   

    ANNUAL FEE (Tasa Unica Anual)

    Cargo Ships, Tanker, Passenger Ships, fishing, transshipment, drilling vessels, dredges and tugs.

 

Up to 1,000 GRT	$1,200.00
1,001 to 3,000 GRT	$1,800.00
3,001 to 5,000 GRT	$2,000.00
5,001 to 15,000 GRT	$2,700.00
15,001 GRT and up	$3,000.00

Non self-propelled crafts, vessels engaged in scientific research or non-profit activities, submarines, crew boats, floating dry docks, exploration and supply ships. Vessels engaged in non-lucrative activities.

 

Up to 500 GRT	$850.00
501 to 1,000 GRT	$1,400.00
1,001 GRT and up	$1,800.00

 

3. ANNUAL INSPECTION FEES:

Passenger Ships:

              Up to 1,600 GRT:                           900.00
              Over 1,600 GRT:                            1,800.00

Tankers and cargo vessels: 

 

Up to 500 GRT	$500.00
501 to 1,600.00 GRT	$750.00
1,601 to 5,000 GRT	$850.00
5,001 to 15,000 GRT	$1,000.00
15,001 GRT and up	$1,200.00

 

Driiling Unit: 1,300.00

 

Sports crafts, non-profit: 400.00

 

All other vessels:

Up to 500 GRT	$500.00
501 to 5,000 GRT	$800.00
5,001 GRT and up	$1,000.00

 

ANNUAL FEE FOR CASUALTY INVESTIGATION AND INTERNATIONAL TREATIES PARTICIPATION : $0.03 per NRT or fraction, and additionally:
